Off the coast of Somalia, villagers found the skeletal remains of an anonymous figure. The local Russian Embassy confirmed it was Osama bin Laden.
Five years ago, Navy Seal Team 6 successfully raided bin Osama’s compound in Pakistan and killed the most wanted man in the world.
The US military then dumped his body at sea attached to weights. Over time, chemicals in the polluted ocean waters eroded the metal weights and the body began to drift, eventually being washed up on Somalia shores, a country near the Arabian Peninsula.
For skeptics, this proves the US government did kill bin Laden, for the locals, it was just another body washed ashore.
“Usually, it’s just pirates that we find,” said local Absame Abuuka. “Or fisherman killed by pirates.”
“The Russians came and figured it out for us. I don’t know what they did wit it.”
