A transgender woman by the name of Alice Helmsley was killed outside of a vacant Georgia bathroom by a group of men upset with her gender identity.
In the small town of Hinsdale, Georgia, Alice had lived her whole life and had recently changed genders from being a man. Being the lone transgender person in a Southern town of 2,500 people was not easy and she had been receiving threats since her surgery.
Besides her two friends, the entire town was against her. Her parents had recently kicked her out of the house for “offending Jesus.”
“This was bound to happen. All the guy needed to do was use the men’s bathroom and none of this would have happened,” said the police chief, Buck Hill.
No one else was in the bathroom while Alice used it and she was immediately jumped by three men when she exited, therefore, a premeditated attack.
According to the police report, the three men kicked her head in and broke her neck. A security camera caught the entire event but has not been released to the public.
The three were reluctantly charged with murder and were released on a very, very low bail of $1,000.
A friend of Alice said, “The thousand dollar bond is a joke. The police aren’t taking this seriously at all. The bad guys are obviously about to get away with murder. The worst lawyer in the world could get these guys off in this town.”
We polled 157 people in the little Georgia town and only 8 said they would convict the men of murder. Many said Alice should have moved to a city more accepting of her and she forced this murder upon herself.
“It doesn’t matter that no one else was in the restroom or that no real woman was hurt, it sends a good message to the freaks to use the men’s bathroom,” said an anonymous town folk. “You want to parade in woman’s clothes in a Christian town? Well, you gonna end up dead.”
There has not been a date set for the murderer’s hearing and charges might be dropped.
Alice was 26 years old.
