World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced they will be holding a 30-minute Republican debate at this year’s WrestleMania in Dallas, Texas on April 3rd, live on the WWE Network.
The debate between opposing political parties will be moderated by WWE CEO Vince McMahon with rules agreed upon by both debaters beforehand.
With the TV debates drawing huge ratings and with 4 hours to fill for a lackluster WrestleMania card, the debate will add some notoriety to the wrestling spectacle and draw in some non-wrestling fans to witness the only debate of this kind. This will also be Donald Trump’s 4th WrestleMania appearance. Trump is also in the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity wing.
“WrestleMania is more than sports entertainment,” said McMahon. “It the world’s biggest spectacle, streaming live to 126 countries and over 100,000 in live attendance at AT&T Stadium.”
“This will be bigger than Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, or Stone Cold vs. The Rock.”
The Debaters
“Bernie has no chance,” said Trump. “We’ll be in Texas and Texas loves me. You think they are going to love socialist Bernie?”
The Sanders camp replied, “Wrestlemania is a global event with thousands coming from Europe and major US cities. It’s not all rednecks; those tickets are too expensive for the average American.
Stay tuned Sunday, April, 3rd, only on the WWE Network at 7pm/4pt.
