Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has been touting on the campaign trail that Obamacare killed Nancy Reagan. The 94-year old died March 6th, 2016 at her home in Bel-Air, Los Angeles from heart failure.
Cruz continues to reiterate that she would still be alive if it weren’t for Obamacare. “Now I don’t know if it was deliberate, but we know the true cause of the First Lady’s death was Obamacare.
“As president, I will destroy Obamacare like it destroyed Nancy Reagan. If I were already president, the ninety-four-year-old healthy woman would still be alive today.
“Think of your Mom being killed by Obamacare because it can and will happen. I have yet to hear Obama apologize for his role in her death.
“He might as well have pulled the plug himself. When I’m president, I’ll be plugging plugs in!”
Ted Cruz Really Hates Obamacare
Political pundits say Cruz’s Nancy Reagan statement is a bit far stretched. Chris Matthews said, “This is the strangest and most outrageous claim against Obamacare I’ve ever heard. But the line gets a great response from Cruz supports at his rallies. It’s nuts, completely nuts.
“I’ve seen some political pandering to oppose a policy but nothing like using a ninety-four-year-old woman to show how insuring more Americans causes heart failure in ninety-four-year-old women.
“The statement has too many flaws to even go over without my head exploding. Between Cruz and Trump, we risk going back to the Dark Ages, except less enlightened.”
