‘Roosh’, real name Daryush Valizadeh, is known for his pro-rape movement and anti-women rights. He holds conferences around the world teaching men to get laid and never to take no for an answer from a woman. His recent tour was boycotted by many female activists and Roosh was forced to cancel the events because of safety concerns after thousands of death threats were received.
Roosh was partying in Los Angeles and meeting with a hardcore pornography company about a movie based on his experiences as a ‘pick-up artist.’ He has gained notoriety after his pro-rape blog went viral, mostly by his detractors, and boasts a large social media presence.
A ‘pick-up artist’ is someone who knows what naive women want to hear and exploits the drunken environment. His recent book promoting rape and removing women’s rights has been petitioned to be removed from Amazon and other book retailers.
After an invitation to Los Angeles by one of his Twitter followers and the interest from the pornography company to meet him, Roosh hoped on a plane from Silver Spring, Maryland to Los Angeles, California.
At 4:30 am Saturday morning, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) apprehended Roosh at a rented Los Angeles house and taken into custody and charged with sexual assault, rape, and kidnapping.
Roosh told the LAPD he “pulled a Cosby” by using quaaludes in several glasses of champagne to sedate his victim.
The women, whose identity has not been released as with standard practice with sexual violence cases, told police officers he filmed the act and she downloaded the video file as evidence. Police discovered seven other video files showing unconscious women and one with an unconscious man.
Hollywood Escapade
The night started off with dinner in Beverly Hills, then the Den in West Hollywood, and ended at the trendy bar No Vacancy in Hollywood. This is where Roosh met the victim and began his plan to take her home with the sole intention of rape. He even texted a friend, “Got my bitch for the night. I’ll text you the video later tonight. It’s going to be slammin!”
Roosh was able to get the victim away from her friends at the bar and into an Uber to go back to the house he rented on Airbnb. They drank champagne, but her’s roofied with quaaludes. She had also taken valium earlier that night which compounded the sedative effect.
At 4:00 the victim woke up naked and Roosh not in the house. She got dressed and left. When she got home and told her roommate, she called the police and they waited for Roosh who was getting food at a local diner. He apparently was showing the video to several other drunk guys while he ate a grilled cheese and almost posted it to the social platform SnapChat on a dare. He declined the dare telling a diner patron, “I already have enough heat on me, so I got to keep this shit private.”
When he got home, the police were waiting and took him to the downtown LA County jail. Bail was set at $500,000 and we are told Roosh has hired an attorney. A judge will hold the next hearing Monday morning.
