After an arrest had been made during a traffic stop where gunshots were fired, Oregon militia leader Ammon Bundy was arrested and charged with domestic terrorism.
Bundy, along with five other militia passengers, are currently waiting for a federal flight to Guantanamo Bay military prison and will wait until the government decides what to do with them.
The two-month standoff ended with violence after at least two men were shot and one killed, but the suspects are now in federal custody.
FBI Director James B. Comey told CNN, “Bundy is currently at Portland’s International Airport where he awaits a flight to Guantanamo Bay. It’s standard procedure for assumed terrorists.
“Gotta love the Patriot Act.”
Bundy’s lawyer, Al Kelly filed an order to have him stay in America where his client is guaranteed constitutional rights. “Why the Hell are they sending him to Guantanamo? We don’t know what type of right he will or will not have. This is gross miss justice by the US government. Now I know how those Arabs feel. Innocent or guilty, you are stuck in judicial purgatory.
“If this is a scare tactic, it is uncalled for, and we will fight this charge.”
