Embattled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel purchased a Dallas nightclub for $1.3 million.
With a small group of investors, Manziel will be the majority owner but will leave day to day operations to general manager Tom Biden.
Manziel’s manager told the Dallas Times, “The business plan looked great. Johnny knows a bit about clubs and thought the location and interior were perfect.
“This was one of many business opportunities that has come our way and one that Johnny felt very passionate about. So we decided to go with it.”
Manziel has been vocal about wanting to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys and the Browns seem to have had enough of Johnny Football. This purchase could signify Manziel’s commitment to being part of Dallas community and add further pressure to trade for the Texas native.
Manziel spoke briefly about the purchase to Sports Illustrated. “I’m super pumped. It’s been a dream to own my own club. Always have the best table, always have the best service, and hand pick the DJ to make the place rock hard.”
The Cleveland Browns are not happy about the Manziels purchase of a nightclub. Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones said, “I hope I get VIP treatment when I attend.” He then gave the ‘money’ gestures with his hands.
