A new super marijuana strain 147TY7-G, dubbed ‘Air-Ball Kobe (ABK),’ killed 136 people in Los Angeles County over the past three days.
The Los Angeles Times reported the super strain was a Christmas special for the City of Angels. Angles is what the weed left behind.
The ABK weed is linked to three marijuana dispensaries in the Silverlake and Echo Park neighborhoods.
LAPD Officer Donald Cruise told the Times, “We are still investigating where this super strain of weed originated from and if it is still available for sale at any other dispensaries in the LA region.
“We plead pot smokers not to smoke anything called Air-Ball Kobe, ABK, or if they tell you the marijuana can kill you. We have seen more weed overdoses than heroin which is atypical.”
Samples are being tested for abnormalities and other potential threats. With loose regulation, it is possible the plants could be sprayed with a dangerous pesticide that should not be smoked or eaten. More common strains are being tested as a precaution.
The super strain was intended to treat cancer and tumors in patients. Research has not be concluded.
The involved dispensaries will be holding sales on their products to help smooth over fears from their customers. Archie’s Dispensary on Silver Lake Boulevard issued a statement, “Over the past fifteen years only ten of our customers have died, that we know of, so that’s a pretty good record.
“We have destroyed or gotten rid of the bad weed and only have our basic classic weed strains. To win back your trust and business, we are offering twenty percent off every edible product and buy three grams get one gram free.
“As always we have a great selection of Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids. New patients are always welcomed.
“So come on down to Archies Dispensary on Silver Lake Boulevard for all your medical marijuana needs!”
Another One Bites The Bud
Cannabis expert Kyle Goldstein told High Times Magazine, “I’m sure this is just an exaggeration. Weed has never killed anyone. There is something fishy going on to stop the cannabis movement to freedom.
“We will get to the bottom of this. If poison was involved, infused in the weed by conservative Republican spies bent on destroying a healthy medical alternative to pharmaceuticals, we will find out. Hey, maybe it was the big pharma companies killing the people, making it look like a weed overdose. They have done it before.”
Many of the victims parents called their untimely deaths “unfortunate” and “not great timing with Christmas coming up and what not.”
A few less Christmas presents to buy this year for some families.
