Church of Scientology Defends Planned Parenthood: “Aborted Placenta Could Feed Thousands”

Only two years after actress January Jones admitted to People Magazine that she ate her own placenta after giving birth, and nearly a decade after famed Scientologist Tom Cruise was rumored to have done the same, the infamous Church of Scientology may have finally opened up on the issue.

The placenta is an organ which lines the womb during pregnancy.  When ejected from the womb as after birth, it’s said to contain a plethora of nourishing vitamins and minerals. Planned Parenthood representative Tiffany-Siobhan Washington notes, “An expansion of these clinics could provide vitamin and protein throughout inner-city communities.

Why should soup kitchens have to beg for canned goods? We can keep the population under control and double meat supplies, and do it in communities already overrun with an undereducated, unemployed population.

“Some lettuce, tomato, some Miracle Whip, you have a sandwich,” she added. “And one unwed mother has one less mouth to feed. It’s a win-win. Defunding Planned Parenthood would rob communities of an obvious, viable solution to not one, but two problems which plague them: an unwanted financial burden, and the need for nourishment.”

David Skinner, president of the Church of Scientology’s Community Outreach Program, notes that the placenta “is a meat product. You store it like one. Plastic wrap, air-tight bag, freeze it. Thaw it in the fridge. Or, like my mom, she used lukewarm water, stuck it in a bowl, let it sit. Broiling is best when you cook it. Makes it tender the whole way through.”
