In an attempt to generate more revenue in an innovative way, Wrigley Field in Chicago will offer a unique beer option. For $45 a fan can get beer tapped directly into their veins. For an extra $65 a fan can have a catheter installed so they never have to leave their seats during the game.
“It’s a good idea,” said one fan. “More places should have this beer option. It makes me feel like Barney from The Simpsons in that one episode.”
Since the deal only applies to Bud and Bud Light, some consumer advocates are concerned that the ballpark might be tempted to use the catheter bags as the beer IV without anyone noticing. “Since both products, the beer and pee, taste and look very similar, the consumer might just be recycling their initial beer and drinking their own pee the rest of the time. We just want some safety protocols in place so the consumer knows if they are getting beer or pee.”
