‘Dennis the Elephant’ Killed By Hunter With RPG-7 Rocket Launcher

shutterstock_3057237An accountant from St. Louis is under fire for paying $150,000 USD to shoot famous Republic of Congo elephant named Dennis. Joe Himmler, the 46-year-old and father of three, was on his yearly hunting trip to Africa when he hired a local jungle guide to show him the best hunting spots. Himmler then used a rocket launcher to shoot and instantly blow-up Dennis the elephant. Only the smoldering feet were left behind. The tusks were flown nearly 400 yards away from the explosion.

Himmler told the NRA weekly newsletter, “This is the first time I actually shot something while on safari. My shot usually misses or all I see are monkeys. But with the help from an RPG-7 that I purchased from a nice woman in town, I sure wasn’t going to miss this time. One hundred and fifty thousand dollars is a lot to spend and not kill anything, I mean, I’m just an accountant from St. Louis.

“I had lost my glasses on the flight to Africa so the bigger the weapon I could buy the better chance I had of hitting something. I just got lucky to buy the RPG-7 at a local gift shop and we all know the Russians make the best rocket launchers.

“Boy did Dennis blow up, I really nailed that sucker. He didn’t see it coming. It looked like an explosion from an 80s Hollywood action flick. All I ask is to pay the fine, but I’m keeping the husks.”

Himmler is said to be excited to watch the St. Louis Cardinals in the baseball playoffs and hopes to attend a home game against the Chicago Cubs. “I hate the Cubs,” he said. “They are terrible fans.”
